What is the Winter Coaching Programme?

During January through to May, on Sundays at Devizes Leisure Centre, the top coaches in the County - together with top coaches from 1st Class Counties, run regular coaching sessions for the top youth players in Wiltshire. During these sessions, the age group manager and coach start the process of selecting the summer county age group squads.

How do players get on the Winter Coaching Programme?

Prior to the Winter Coaching Programme, towards the end of the cricket season, inter-district matches take place. The purpose of these games is to identify players for next years' full Winter Coaching Programme.

Easter 1-2-1 coaching programme...

During the Winter Coaching Programme, players are identified as having a high level of ability in one or more skills. These players are invited to personal and daily 1-2-1 coaching during Easter week, to help them to further develop their skills.
